Scholarship

***SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED FOR 2024***

Thank you for your interest in the 2024 Jessica Stevens Memorial Scholarship. Our friend, Jess was a 2004 Twin Lakes graduate and passed away on October 29, 2019, from metastatic breast cancer. We created the Jessica Stevens Memorial Foundation to foster friendship, inspire charity, and empower families in our community. As a legacy to Jess’s memory, we may fund a STEM scholarship for a graduate of a White or Carroll County high school, raise funds for her daughter’s college account, and give back to the surrounding community through this foundation.

Jess was devoted to her studies in biology and chemistry and was the Lab Manager at IU Health White Memorial for several years until her passing. In fact, we had been talking with Jess to develop a scholarship similar to this one, but she passed away before the details were complete. She was excited about the opportunity to create a scholarship targeting STEM. The Foundation would like to recognize White and Carroll County high school seniors who are pursuing a STEM (Science/Tech/Engineering/Math) major.

We wish to award a one-time $500 scholarship to two White or Carroll County seniors who, as Jess did, share a passion for studying STEM.

To qualify for the scholarship, you must be:

  • A senior at any of the following White/Carroll County schools:
Twin Lakes, Tri-County, North White, Frontier, Delphi, Carroll Consolidated
  • Currently accepted into an educational institution with a declared STEM major.
  • In good standing regarding discipline and attendance.
  • Maintain near a B average GPA – Please provide current transcripts from Parchment.

We will choose the recipients based on the completed application, as well as a letter of recommendation and a personal essay. Read further for the rest of the details.

Please submit your signed application and necessary documentation by Friday, March 15, 2024
